The Founder’s Grove is my favourite trail at the Avenue of Giants. It is home to the largest trees in the world. It is dedicated to the men that kept the loggers from destroying this stretch of redwoods. They chose to dedicate the right grove to these men. One of the largest trees in the entire park is the Founders Tree which is the centerpiece of the grove. It is 346 feet tall and stands over all the trees around it.

We also took a secret trail to a hidden waterfalls between Mendocino and Fort Bragg. It is inside the Russian Gulch State Park and is an awesome tip we got from a local lady from our BnB. The forest just looks like in Jurassic Park!
