Feichang Fresh

I am The Duke of Darkness, the third member of Feichang Fresh—China’s first German hip-hop band. While my two bandmates take the stage rapping in Mandarin, I bring the beats to life as the DJ and guitarist during our live performances. But my role doesn’t stop there—I’m also the videographer behind the camera, capturing and crafting the visuals for most of our music videos.

Feichang Fresh is all about blending cultures, and that’s exactly what we do—mixing East and West, hip-hop and traditional sounds, humor and deep storytelling. With millions of views, TV and radio features, and a fanbase spanning China, Germany, and beyond, we’ve become more than just a musical act.

One of our biggest projects, #FFBB, was created to celebrate 20 years of the Berlin-Beijing city partnership. It’s not just a song—it’s a cultural exchange wrapped in beats, rhymes, and a touch of Peking opera samples. And whether on stage or behind the scenes, I’m always making sure Feichang Fresh looks and sounds the way it should: bold, unique, and unforgettable.

Berlin and Beijing celebrate 20 years of city partnership, and who better to create the official anthem than Feichang Fresh—the only German rap band active in China at the time? We were honored to be commissioned to produce both the theme song and music video for this historic milestone.

To make this project truly special, we took our cameras to some iconic locations:
🏯 The Great Wall of China – capturing breathtaking shots at one of the world’s greatest landmarks.
✈️ Hainan Airlines – our official sponsor, giving us exclusive access to shoot onboard their aircraft.
🏀 Alba Berlin – another key supporter, providing us with the O2 World Arena (now the Mercedes-Benz Arena) as a filming location.
🏛 Rotes Rathaus (Berlin City Hall) – since the city of Berlin commissioned the project, we had an entire day to shoot in this historic government building.

This wasn’t just another music video—it was the biggest production of my career. A true cross-cultural project uniting Berlin and Beijing through music, visuals, and collaboration.

Feichang Fresh - White World

When SnowHow China asked Feichang Fresh to create a video promoting skiing to the Chinese audience, we knew we had to go big! Their mission—”building a bridge between China and the Alps, the real cradle of winter sports”—perfectly aligned with our love for cultural exchange.

🏔 To bring this vision to life, we filmed in the iconic ski resort of Sölden, the legendary location where James Bond “Spectre” was shot.
🎿 We hit the slopes with professional stunt and freestyle skiers, capturing some truly insane action shots.
🎤 And of course, we did what we do best—rapping in Mandarin while embracing the winter sports vibe.

❄️ Just in time for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, we released our brand-new music video, blending hip-hop, high-energy winter sports, and the breathtaking beauty of the Alps.
